DAAN works with schools and local communities in Punjab to promote drug and alcohol awareness while supporting education, health and well-being.
Our projects have included educational talks and workshops for young people, health and eye examinations, diabetes and blood pressure checks, and basic first-aid training. We have also provided schools and communities with practical support, including computers, projectors, educational equipment, sports facilities and other essential resources.
Through our volunteers and supporters, we aim to combine awareness with practical action — helping young people make healthier choices while improving opportunities within the communities we serve.
DAAN has organised camps in Punjab since 2013, working directly with schools and local communities. Our camps bring together drug and alcohol awareness, education and healthcare, with activities including talks and workshops, medical and eye checks, health screening and the provision of educational resources and equipment.
Each camp is shaped around the needs of the community involved, with the aim of providing practical support alongside information that can make a lasting difference.
Our fundraising activities help make DAAN’s work possible. Through the generosity of our supporters and local communities, we raise funds to support our projects in Punjab, including educational initiatives, health programmes and practical assistance for schools and families. Every contribution, large or small, helps us continue this work.
